The following is a list of funding programs currently accepting applications and ongoing funding programs available to municipalities either automatically or by application. Please click the title of the funding program to learn if your municipality is eligible.

		Communities in Transition To provide funding assistance in those Rural Municipalities that assume financial liabilities related to environmental-based physical infrastructure when a village dissolves into an R.M.

		Federal Gas Tax Program Providing $371.7 million over a nine-year period (2005-2006 to 2013-2014) to help build Saskatchewan municipalities.

		Federal Public Transit Funds The Government of Canada has provided Public Transit Funds to support investment in public transit infrastructure in cities and communities. For more information about this program, see this page.

		Grants in Lieu of Taxes on Saskatchewan Government Services Properties Grants-in-lieu are grant payments from the province to municipalities.

		Municipal Revenue Sharing Provide a source of unconditional funding to each municipality to support the delivery of municipal services. These funds are utilized on the basis of locally determined priorities.

		Northern Capital Grants Program Provides financial and technical assistance to northern communities for the construction or upgrading of municipal facilities and for the acquisition of municipal equipment. For more details and application forms, checkout this page.

		Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) - Funding Programs SUMA's list of grants, loans and contributions available to municipalities for various projects.

		Transit Assistance for People with Disabilities Program To provide financial assistance to participating cities and towns in support of special needs transportation services for persons with disabilities. Details and application forms are available on this page.
